With the release of CS2, the way drops work have been changed. Every week, players are able to receive a new Weekly Care Package. By gaining enough XP throughout the week and leveling up, you will receive a weekly care package. To level up in CS2, you will need a total of 5000 XP.

The first slot will always be a case. The other 3 slots are reserved for skins and graffiti’s. Here’s what the Weekly Care Package looks like:

Can you get multiple case drops in CS2?

As of june 2023, it is no longer possible to get multiple case drops in a single week.

CS2 Rare Drops

When you receive a case drop, it’s usually from the active drop pool – I’ll explain that in a moment. However, there’s a slight chance you might get a rare weapon case. These rare weapon cases, sometimes called ‘discontinued’, are extremely scarce. In fact, some players report only getting one such drop in a year. According to player-collected data, the odds of receiving a rare case drop stand at 1%.

Among the more expensive rare weapon cases are the CSGO Weapon case, Bravo case, and Winter Offensive Weapon Case. On the more affordable end, you’ll find cases like the Danger Zone, Prisma, and CS20 cases.

What CS2 Cases still drop?

Currently there are 5 cases that are in the active drop pool. These include the Recoil case, the Dreams & Nightmare case, the Snakebite case, the Fracture case and the Revolution Case. Cases that are not in the active drop pool are still being dropped, but at a lesser rate. You can check out CSGODatabase for all the available drops in 2023, which include all the rare drops.
